The "I Have a Dream"® Foundation of Boulder County (IHAD) has elected the following officers:
Chair - Peter Braun, UBS Financial Services, Inc.
Vice Chair - Rajul Pandya. UCAR
Co-Secretaries - Sue Bailhache, Elevations Credit Union & Anna King, Integrated Work Strategies
IHAD also has elected six new members to its Board of Directors:
Jeff Davis is the Executive Vice President of FirstBank of Boulder, where he has been employed for the past 15 years. Mr. Davis holds a degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Davis, his wife, Katie, and two children reside in Loveland.
Anna King is a program manager for Integrated Work Strategies. She brings to IHAD a wealth of knowledge in board development, staff
teambuilding and marketing and communications. Anna says is joining the IHAD Board because she likes "making a direct impact on people's lives."
Ester Martin Maillaro is an attorney for Holland & Hart Boulder. In addition to her legal expertise, Ester has teaching experience. She is bilingual and has taught ESL (English as a Second Language) to high school students. Ester says that by serving on the IHAD Board, she will be "making a contribution to society by helping the
underprivileged."
Liza McKelvey is an attorney and partner with Faegre and Benson in Denver. She specializes in employment and human resources. For the past two years, Liza has been providing IHAD with pro bono legal services.
Rajul Pandya works at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) as the SOARS program director and associate director for diversity of UCAR's Office of Education and Outreach. SOARS is a program designed to encourage students from underrepresented groups to pursue careers in atmospheric science. Rajul brings to IHAD the knowledge of the opportunities and requirements for collegiate success, particularly in science, technology, engineering and math.
Ken Wilson is the Director of the Student Academic Services Center for the University of Colorado, where he has been employed since 1997. Mr. Wilson holds a master's degree in education from Harvard. As a new IHAD Board Member, Mr. Wilson is "looking forward to helping strengthen the connections between the "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County and the University of Colorado."
Other board members serving this year include: Alex Baris, Clair Beckmann, Peter Braun, Kirk Holland, Kaye Howe, Chris King, Midge Korczak, Monty Meduna, and Steve Szabo.
