IHAD is a United Way Supported Agency

Remembering a Fight for Equality

“I Have a Dream”® Foundation of Boulder County’s low-income students will
participate in the Boulder march to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr.

The “I Have a Dream”® Foundation of Boulder County will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s fight for freedom, equality, and dignity of all people Monday, Jan. 17 in downtown Boulder.

The “I Have a Dream”® Foundation of Boulder County, a school drop-out prevention program for disadvantaged youth, uses academic support programs, long-term mentoring relationships and the guarantee of a tuition-assistance scholarship to help children achieve their dreams.

The students will be participating in the march at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Boulder County Courthouse, at 13th Street and Pearl Street. They will complete the day by participating in the events offered from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Boulder Theater, 2034 14th Street.

“It’s our goal at IHAD to turn our Dreamers into achievers,” said Lori Canova, Chief Executive Officer. “We feel it’s important for the children in our program to understand Dr. King’s contributions to our society and the value of the legacy he has left behind."
