"I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County hosts several fund raising events each year along with several appreciation events for our donors and our Dreamers. Teams of 4 golfers engaged in an Elimination Scramble Shotgun start and competed for various prizes on almost every hole. Additional fundraising is provided by sponsors of the event and our silent auction.
Our 20th Anniversary Dream-Maker Luncheon will be held on Friday, September 10th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Omni Interlocken Resort and Spa in Broomfield. This is an inspirational program with testimonials from some of our Dreamers, Dreamer Alumni and featured guest speakers.
In 2010, our annual Dream-Maker Breakfast will be combined with the Dream-Maker Luncheon in order to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. It will take place on Friday, September 10th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Omni Interlocken Resort and Spa in Broomfield.
The Freeman Myre Corporate Challenge 5k Race benefiting "I Have a Dream" was held on July 30th and was a friendly competition between participants from different corporations to see who can field the fastest (and slowest) teams.
Donor Appreciation Events are receptions at which we recognize the generous giving of our Donors.
Gordon Gamm has provided several scholarships that go directly to selected Dreamers to help them with their college expenses. This event recognizes the recipients of those awards for the current year.
The start of a new class is recognized by the Adoption Ceremony. At this Ceremony, the new Dreamers into the "I Have a Dream" family are initiated and recite their pledge to Achieve their Dreams.
Upon graduation from High School, we recognize those Dreamers who have made it through to this momentous occasion as we encourage them to continue to pursue their Dreams to enter college. |
