Volunteer Coordinator Intern

Interns are needed in July and August to help with outreach, recruitment and processing new volunteers for the fall semester.  The intern would be available minimum three days each week in August to participate in outreach and volunteer recruitment, write volunteer job descriptions, run background checks, help with the volunteer intake process, and will have opportunities to co-lead volunteer trainings.  Initial training and orientation are provided. This internship is great for volunteers interested in non-profit management, human resources, and community outreach.  Internship is unpaid.

Marketing and Development Intern

We are seeking a Marketing and Development Intern who would be available to work in our Boulder office for a few days per week on various projects. This is a perfect opportunity for a student or professional who wants to gain experience working in a nonprofit office.

• This internship will be working with the Development Coordinator and the Vice President of Development.
• Internship will be unpaid. Hours are flexible, and school credit is available.
• At least 3 months minimum.
• The internship will provide real-life job experience and work will include grant writing and editing, website content management, social media, email marketing, newsletter writing and editing, writing press releases, and donor database management.

Job Requirements:
• Professional, positive attitude
• Excellent writing skills and creativity
• SalesForce skills preferred but not required

Events and Volunteer Outrech Intern

We are seeking a Event and Volunteer Outreach Intern who would be available to work in our Boulder office for a few days per week on various projects. This is a perfect opportunity for a student or professional who wants to gain experience with event planning or volunteer outreach and management for nonprofits.

• This internship will be working with the Volunteer Coordinators, Development Coordinator, and the Vice President of Development.
• Internship will be unpaid. Hours are flexible, and school credit is available.

• The internship will provide real-life job experience and work will include event planning, managing volunteer databases and schedules, volunteer recruitment, and developing an outreach plan for potential volunteers.

Graphic Design Intern

We are seeking a Graphic Design Intern who would be available to work in our Boulder office for a few days per week on various projects. This is a perfect opportunity for a student or professional who wants to build his or her design portfolio.

Description:

• The internship will provide real-life job experience and work will include creating and updating marketing collateral, developing graphics for web pages, website content management, and developing design layouts.
• Your work would be featured prominently on our annual reports, email newsletters, print marketing collateral, website, and in social media. You would be given credit for your work in event programs.

• Creativity and ability to stick to strict deadlines
• Experience and knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite required

Photographer/Videographer Intern

We are seeking an intern who would act as a photographer and videographer during weekday academic after-school and summer programming as well as special events during the weekends and evenings. Summer programming is from 9:00 to 3:00, Monday through Friday, June – July, and you would be able to pick your hours. Fall programming picking back up in September and runs from 3:00-6:00. Special events may include graduation ceremonies, new class dedication ceremonies, after-school tutoring, fundraising events, social outings, cultural events, and more.

• Internship will be unpaid. Hours are flexible, and school credit is available.

Program Site Intern

We are seeking seven Program Site interns who would work at one of our program sites, helping with management and planning of daily activities. This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience working with kids from diverse backgrounds in an enriching and educational environment. The program site intern will also have the opportunity to learn non-profit management skills. Ages range from second grade to seniors in high school and sites are located in Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette. Summer programming is from 9:00 to 3:00, Monday through Friday, June – July, with Fall programming picking back up in September and running from 3:00-6:00.

Description:
• This internship will be working with the Site Director and AmeriCorps Program Directors to plan daily programming activities.
• Internship will be unpaid. Hours are flexible, and school credit is available.
• At least 3 months minimum.
• The internship will provide real-life job experience and work will include individual case management, academic tutoring, volunteer coordination, social enrichment, and emotional enrichment.

Job Requirements:
• Professional, positive attitude
• Desire experience working with underserved populations (not required)
• Experience working with kids preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
