PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

Program Volunteers are needed to work with the Dreamer Scholars during both after-school and summer programming. The volunteer experience varies based upon the age of the students. Volunteers working with younger Dreamers will assist in facilitating workshops helping Dreamers develop math and literacy skills as well as provide support for a wide range of enrichment activities. Volunteers working with older Dreamers tend to provide one-to-one or small group subject-specific homework help to Dreamers. Volunteers are needed at all ten Dreamer classes across Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley School Districts. In addition to supporting Dreamers in academic and enrichment activities, volunteers also serve as positive role models. Most programming occurs after-school between 2:15pm - 6:30pm and during the summer between 8am-4pm

Requirements: Volunteers make a semester-long commitment, coming to the program site at least one day each week.  Volunteers attend an introductory training (2 hrs) before volunteering for the first time.

Qualifications: At least 14 years of age, experience working with children or teenagers preferred. Work study tutors must qualify for financial aid at CU Boulder, Naropa, or Front Range.
