Help in the Computer Labs

There are several volunteer opportunities with the computer lab, including Technical Support Volunteer and Volunteer Lab Monitor. Job duties for each position are included below. Apply online to get started.

 

Technical Support Volunteer

Minimum Commitment
On going, 0-5 hours per week as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Director of Information Systems with troubleshooting software, hardware, network, and internet issues over the phone or in person.
  • Assisting the Director of Information Systems with various IT projects from
    installing new software to fixing and setting up computers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows 9.x/NT/2000/XP and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware, Windows, and basic
    Networking.


Volunteer Lab Monitor

Minimum Commitment
On going, 1-2 hours per week

Responsibilities
Assist youth with using computers in an informal environment, such as while
they do research for school, write resumes, etc.

Requirements
Knowledge of any of the following: Windows, Microsoft Word, web browsing.
