In an effort to raise money for "I Have a Dream", Village At The Peaks is auctioning off three seats NOW for the "Groundbreaking and Demolition Experience". This event and the helicopter tour will take place in Longmont on August 1st from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Here's what you can win: The three highest bidders will take a guided helicopter tour of the project site with the developers and city officials. Each auction winner will also have the chance to sit in the excavator with the demolition crew as they begin the deconstruction of the former Twin Peaks Mall.

The Village At The Peaks is a shopping center development in Longmont, CO that has partnered with the "I Have a Dream" Foundation to enrich the lives of under-resourced youth in Boulder County.  This event is made possible through the generosity of NewMark Merrill Mountain States, the owner and developer of the project.

Volunteer Opportunities this Summer!

There are many opportunities to become involved with the "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County as a volunteer this summer! The organization incorporates and relies on the support of over 300 community volunteers on an annual basis. Their support is invaluable to the organization and those whom it serves. Volunteers are actively recruited in a variety of areas, including as mentors, tutors, special events volunteers, graphic designers, photographers, IT support, and board members. Mission and Overview

The mission of the "I Have a Dream" program is to motivate and empower children from low-income communities to reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term intervention program of mentoring, tutoring, and cultural enrichment. Upon graduation from high school, each Dreamer is eligible to receive a last-dollar, four-year tuition-assistance scholarship for college or vocational school.
